
The 56th Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championships held from August 6-12, 2024, in Batam, Indonesia, marked a significant milestone for the Thai bodybuilding team. The team achieved an impressive haul of 15 medals, including 7 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze, showcasing the skill and dedication of Thai athletes on the international stage.
Among the standout performers was Thanakrit Prachantasena, who won gold in the Men’s Bodybuilding (40-49 years, up to 80 kg category). Another remarkable achievement came from Kanticha Sijan, who secured gold in the Women’s Fitness (21 years and under category). These victories reflect the rigorous training and commitment of these athletes.
Jintramon Taweemetheechot also delivered an outstanding performance, earning two silver medals in the Women’s Fitness (over 165 cm category) and the Women’s Model Physique (21 years and under category). Additionally, Saijai Susomkaew claimed a bronze medal in the Women’s Model Physique (up to 160 cm category), and Sitthichat Kappaha earned a bronze in the Men’s Bodybuilding (over 75 kg category), underscoring the diverse strengths of the Thai athletes.
Kanticha Sijan further added to the medal tally with a bronze in the Women’s Model Physique (up to 165 cm category), demonstrating the breadth of talent within the team. The Thai team's success at this championship underscores their resilience and high level of competition across various categories.
